Is your SNOO brown bracket broken? This part is a replacement for a failed or damaged SNOO brown bracket — the component that holds the top metal cover to the rotating platform and base plate using three screws. If your bracket is intact and the screws hold firmly, you do not need this part. Signs you need this part: screws won’t tighten down, screws spin freely when trying to remove them (requiring cutting or drilling to extract), or the rotating platform feels loose or unsecured during operation. When the brown bracket fails, the rotating platform assembly is no longer secured to the base. The SNOO may still run, but the platform can shift during operation — and if the bassinet is ever tipped or moved, the assembly can come apart entirely. Why the original brown bracket fails: The factory injection-molded bracket removes large sections of material around the nut pockets to reduce manufacturing cost, leaving the nuts with minimal support. Over-tighten the screws even slightly and the nut spins in place, destroying the bracket’s ability to hold. At that point, removal typically requires drilling or cutting with a multi-tool — and you’re hunting for a $50 used replacement if you can even find one.
